Hello, I humbly welcome you to my blog. I would like to introduce myself to you: My name is Vannary Sea. I am an established Poet/Artist and Author of Zenith Cross. Currently, my day job is Medical Assistant at a Prestigious Hospital in Seattle Washington. This page is established only to introduce my works to the world. I may soon have a publication date for my work-in-progress book so please look forward to it. I will continue to post updates, and random thoughts or poem throughout the entirety of this website. From time to time there will be maintenance performed to make sure the site is working properly. Please feel free to take a tour at your leisure.
A lot of things have occurred in my life that eventually lead me to this road in my journey today. When I was in elementary, I wanted to be a Teacher, and a Nurse, and Restaurant owner. When I was in High School I wanted to be a reknowned comic book artist, just like my favorites at the time. After graduating High School, and spending my first 2 college years unsatisfied with what resources was offered, as well as going through family issues, I eventually gave up on dreaming. For the next 5 years, I put aside my dreams to be there for my family. I worked 2 part time jobs, one after the other; waking up at 7AM to get ready and catch the bus to Downtown Oakland. From a shift that goes from 8AM-1PM, I then walk about 6 blocks to my other job, at the only Walden’s Books in Oakland City Center, and there I work from 2PM-5PM until closing. It’s been over 10 years since moving from California, so I have no idea what happened to the place and the people I worked with. I am just thankful that I was given a job at all and gained some working experience.
I am currently looking to publish my book, however due to funding I will not have the capacity to do so just yet. In looking at the process of publication, I have to choose between self publication or finding an agent to communicate with a publishing company for me. In choose self publishing, it would definitely be cheaper and through eBook it’s definitely more affordable; I already have a few places in mind to do so. I am hopeful that 2017 is the year that I will see my book published, in one way or another 🙂 Please look forward to it!
I am also posting many random blogs regularly, at least once a week is my aim. This will give me the chance to continue to polish my writing skills and get the critical critiques from other more experienced writers out there. I always appreciate constructive criticism and am flattered that anyone will take their time to read any of my writings–I welcome it all 🙂
I am continuously looking for ways to improve my works, and editing as often as possible, especially when I have the time. So, welcome again! Please enjoy 🙂
